Enjoy bird’s-eye views of the Canadian Rockies as you soar high above and around them in a helicopter! You’ll fly over a variety of incredible scenery, from waterfalls to the peaks of Mt Assinboine and Mt Sparrowhawk to the 1988 Olympic Park. The heliport is located a short distance from Banff (transfer included) and Calgary, and you can choose from a 20-, 30-, 42- or 55-minute flight. This will surely be the highlight of your Rocky Mountain experience!
Your helicopter takes off from the Canmore heliport located near the Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino and you’ll be in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains within minutes. Depending on your selected helicopter tour, you’ll fly around Mt Assiniboine, above Bow Valley, down the Continental Divide or all three!
The 20-minute Rockies Heritage Tour will give you a comprehensive understanding of the history and culture of the region from take-off to landing. Admire the surrounding mountains while you soar over Bow Valley and learn about the First Nations people and POW camps.
The 30-minute Signature Rockies Tour adds 10 more minutes of exploration to include Mt Lougheed, which stands at 10,252 feet (3,125 meters) and Mt Sparrowhawk, which stands 10,239 feet (3,121 meters) above sea level. After circling the summit of Sparrowhawk, head back to the heliport, passing over Mt Allen (the sight of the 1988 Olympic skiing events) on the way.
The 42-minute Matterhorn Tour takes you to Mt Assiniboine, the “Matterhorn of the Rockies.” Circle the 11,870-foot (3,618-meter) summit and then fly along the Continental Divide that separates Alberta and British Columbia.
The longest of all of the tours, the 55-minute Ultimate Assiniboine Tour, combines all three flights. No matter which option you select, you’ll make memories to last a lifetime!
