Your full-day Italian culinary adventure from Milan takes you to Parma for a guided walking tour of the city center. Parma is an ancient city famous for its food, its rich gastronomical tradition and its university, one of the oldest in the world; you’ll tour the city with your knowledgeable local guide and unlock its treasures.
Next, you'll be whisked off to Felino Castle, where you'll enjoy a castle tour. For an additional entrance fee, food-lovers may also visit the nearby Museum of Felino Salame. Then feast on delicious lunch (additional cost) in the castle’s quaint restaurant, Locanda del Castello.
After lunch, you'll jump back onboard your coach and travel to Langhirano to visit the Museum of Parma Ham. Explore the museum at your own pace, admire the artwork and watch the fascinating production process from pig to cured meat.
Finally, you will head to Soragna to visit the Museum of Parmigiano Reggiano. This museum, set in an ancient dairy farm, will show you the production and ripening processes of many cheeses. By the end of your visit, you’ll know all there is to know about cheese gastronomy and the maturing process.
