Length:  17 days from London to Paris

2018 Season Departs From:  London

Overview

Europe—it’s a continent full of different cultures, architecture, art, scenery, and histories—and on this European tour, you’ll get to experience and see what many of the European countries have to offer. You’ll start in London, then sail across the Channel by ferry to reach France from the UK. Then spend two nights in Vienna, the Venice area, Rome, the Lucerne area, and Paris, and one overnight in Brussels, Würzburg, Prague, and Florence.

On your sightseeing tours, learn about the fascinating histories as you see attractions such as Rome’s Colosseum, completed in the 1st century AD; Lucerne’s Lion Monument, commemorating the Swiss Guards killed during the French Revolution; Prague’s Jewish Quarter, which houses some of the best-preserved and most important Jewish sights in Europe; and Vienna’s Hofburg, the palatial complex for the Habsburgs. You’ll also see examples of the local art and architecture, such as the glorious cathedral in Florence and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Magnificent scenery also awaits you on this European tour. Cherish time in spectacular Lake Lugano in Switzerland, where you can enjoy a stroll on the scenic promenade. Enjoy a beautiful Rhine cruise passing by castle-crested hills, terraced vineyards, and the legendary rock of the Lorelei, where echoes of an enchanted siren song lured unwitting sailors to their doom. Take in the breathtaking alpine scenery as you travel across Austria to beautiful Lake Wörth, an alpine lake formed by glaciers, and as you travel to Lucerne, surrounded by its picturesque lake nestled amid the towering majesty of the Swiss Alps. Sit back and relax as you travel through the Tuscan countryside, with its rolling hills, olive grows, vineyards, and small towns.

Scenery, historic monuments, distinct art and architecture, and much more—it’s all available on this Cosmopolitan Europe tour planned for value-minded travelers.
